Jack Peters, Phd
Mental health scientist and behavioural researcher, based in Amsterdam. Currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Groningen.
I am interested in why some individuals recover from distressing experiences and interactions while others develop persistent mental health problems, and how this knowledge can inform intervention. In my research, I take a translational approach that combines experimental psychopathology and clinical science to study stress reactivity, emotional memory, and interpersonal functioning.
My current work focuses on how maladaptive interpersonal patterns and associated distress relate to the course of anxiety and depression, with the aim of developing more targeted and effective treatments.
